Media agency PHD Hong Kong has appointed Florence Wong as managing partner with immediate effect.
The agency said it was buoyed by “fresh growth, including the recent win of HSBC’s global media duties” and looking to continue along that trajectory.
The announcement:
Continuing to expand its senior management team in line with fresh business growth, PHD Hong Kong has appointed Florence Wong as Managing Partner. A results-driven leader, Wong will ensure the agency continues to build on its end-to-end solutions offering for its clients and remains at the forefront of innovation in Hong Kong’s communications landscape.
Wong joins PHD after two years at New Media Group, and four years at ZenithOptimedia Hong Kong as Managing Director. Her comprehensive experience covers a range of different categories, with particular focus on technology and travel, having developed valuable skills in digital and data marketing.
“The marketing world continues to change at an unprecedented rate, making it’s an exciting time to be joining PHD, an agency at the forefront of innovation in the communications space,” said Wong. “Given the rapid pace of change today, it’s important that we, as agencies, future-proof our clients for tomorrow.
“I’m delighted to be joining a team who relentlessly raises the bar for its clients and the industry by keeping a pulse on the change and ensuring all of its partners are well-prepared for what’s to come.”
Clement Chung, Managing Director of PHD Hong Kong, commented: “We are excited to welcome Florence to the PHD family. She brings a wealth of experience, industry knowledge, as well as a passion for innovation. We are confident Florence, alongside our team, will continue to take our clients’ businesses to the next level.”
The appointment comes as the agency faces fresh growth, including the recent win of HSBC’s global media duties. Wong will also work closely with Chung to ensure the agency retains its market-leading position, having been one of only two media agencies from Hong Kong to be listed on the 2018 Gunn Media 100 list.
The appointment is effective immediately.
